Other Endeavors of Vocational Services:

  1. Junior Achievement - Annually Volunteers of our club are train in teaching the "Economics of Staying in School" to Senior Public School Students.
  2. Annual Scholarships are awarded to exemplary students as chosen by the staff of both Forest Heights and Eastwood Collegiate.
  3. Camp Enterprise - Annually this Programme takes place in the spring at the University of Waterloo. 4 exemplary students are interviewed and chosen to attend this 3-day Workshop in Entrepreneurial endeavours.
  4. Support has been given to the University of Waterloo Debating Society to go to the "Worlds" in South Africa.
  5. We support Drug Safety in Schools. The club provided books to the Grade 7 & 8's at Queen's Mount Senior Public, which is a Feeder School for Forest Height Collegiate. The book is well done including a one page Ad with our Logo and a great forward to the book written by Member Larry Gravill.
  6. We helped send 5 Eastwood Collegiate Students to the Province of Ontario Education Camp. The Principal felt this was a great programme.
  7. We arranged to have Galvin Tucker, the G.M. of CHYM Radio to Facilitate 2 visits of Eastwood's Broad Casting Club to the Radio Station.
  8. AB Nightingale makes Plaques for Eastwood & Forest Heights to give out with our $500 per Student Scholarships.
  9. Youth / Career Development Committee has supplied students to help with our Dream Home Event as well as Lobesterfest. The students in turn build up "Credits" for their Mandatory Community Involvement "Hours".
