Hey everyone,

AN OFFICIAL ONE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have finally have had the oppertunity to get out of the province of Gauteng. I spent the weekend with the Club President and there exchange student from America, Bradley in Mpumalanga. Mpumalanga is the province that is to the east of Gauteng which is about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Both Bradley and I were fly fishing partners in the Trout Ways Competition. The sad part is that both of us have never done fly fishing in out life. The weekend went very smoothly and a little too short I have to say. We didin't catch any fish and only manage to get the hang of it just before we left. The scenery of the area was beautiful, I have never seen anything like this before. All around you there were these huge rolling hills that seem to overlap each other. It was gorgeous, have never seen anything like it. The other fisherman who stayed at the chalet had caught fish and wanted us to learn how to gut fish. Boy was that a job, I advise that no one do that unless you like to scare people away with your smell. I also had the opertunity to travel through the man known as the Krugerhof, he is known for stealing the money of his country. It is said that people still hunt for the Kruger Millions.

You may find this surprising but it seems like the likely hood here is often; Brad and I were almost in a bank robbery. Not involved, I promise you. Well here goes my amazing story. There is a part of the Rose Bank Mall were there is an intersection and there are banks on each corner. Since Brad's account was with Standard Bank we went to the farthest bank. Since the banks are very supicious of everyone they asked him for a bunch of id where we obviously dont own since we don't belong to the country so we left. Since the banks are seriously stupid we decided to take a break before trying again, so we head up for some coffee. We then went down to try my bank FNB (First National Bank) but when we got there we all of a sudden heard gun shots. We thought maybe there was a prize going on so we went, but couldnt get far because they were placing yellow tape everywhere. We later found out that a bunch of men robbed the bank and escaped with a lot of money and had killed 1 and wounded 2. EKKK!! Oh okay, useless story, just wanted to add that.

I would like to tell everyone that I have moved to my second host family, the Taylor's. There son is going to the the exchange student to Brazil in January. For those who want to send me stuff PO Box 848, De Deur 1884 Vereeniging, South Africa. The night I was to exchange families the power completely went off, so basically I was trying to get my stuff together in the dark. Not very good. The family is very nice, they got a new dog the day after I came and now it is being sent back. I hope they dont plan to do that to me.

I have gone to 2 days at school now. Not the most appealing school in the world. The classes are extremely short, I dont understand how any learning gets done and there are no athletics at all. I am not enjoying the school right now. All the stuff I am learning are things that I have learnt before. So I plan to get more involved with the club so my mind gets off the topic of school.

Hope this update is good enough for now,
